This event is logged when the peer computer's response to a search was invalid.

Resolution :

No action is necessary: BITS will automatically retry the search

To resolve this issue, no action is needed. BITS will automatically retry the search.

Verify :

To ensure that the peer caching client is enabled:
  1. From an elevated command prompt, type:
    bitsadmin /PEERCACHING /GETCONFIGURATIONFLAGS
  2. Confirm that the output includes:
    Enable download from peers: true
