Description | Protocol is wrong type for socket. |
Event Information | According to Microsoft: EXPLANATION: The application requires a socket call that is not supported by the current protocol settings for the client application. A protocol was specified that does not support the semantics of the socket type requested. For example, you cannot use the ARPA Internet UDP protocol with the SOCK_STREAM socket type. This error occurs if you specifically reference a protocol that is not part of the Internet address family you are also referencing. USER ACTION: Check the current application settings for the protocol type in use for the remote connection. Also check to see if TCP or UDP protocol support is used for the application and configure accordingly. If you are using a third-party Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), verify that it is compatible with Wsock32.dll. If you are using Microsoft TCP/IP, remove and reinstall TCP/IP. |
