Description | Exchange topology discovery can't find the local Exchange server. |
Event Information | According to Microsoft: Cause : This Error event indicates that the local Microsoft Exchange server object was not found in Active Directory directory service when it tried to send an e-mail message. Every message that is sent or received by an Exchange 2007 server must be categorized on a Hub Transport server before it can be routed and delivered. This event may occur when information about the local Hub Transport server is not found in Active Directory. Resolution : To resolve this error, follow these steps: a)Make sure that the Exchange server that logged this event is registered correctly on the DNS server. b)Make sure that the Exchange 2007 Setup completed without failures. To do this, review the Exchange Setup log files in the C:/ExchangeSetupLogs/ExchangeSetup.log file, where C\ is the directory to which Exchange was installed. c)Review the Application and System log for related events. For example, events that occur immediately before and after this event may provide more information about the root cause of this error. |
