Description | Too many files are open. For more information about this event, see ISA Server Help. |
Event Information | According to Microsoft: Cause: The system defines the number of file descriptors that any process can open at one time. That number has been reached and no more files can be opened. You might have too many WinSock applications running simultaneously, but this is unlikely because most network systems have many socket handles available. This message can also occur if an application opens and closes sockets often without closing them properly (that is, leaving them open as "orphans"). Resolution: To recover the orphaned sockets, close and restart the application. You might have to quit all WinSock applications to force the WinSock DLL to unload. |
