Event Id | 10044 |
Source | ISA Server Firewall service |
Description | Protocol is the wrong type for socket. For more information about this event, see ISA Server Help. |
Event Information | According to Microsoft: Cause: The application requires a socket call that is not supported by the current protocol settings for the client application. For example, you cannot use the ARPA Internet UDP protocol with the SOCK_STREAM socket type. This error occurs if you specifically reference a protocol that is not part of the Internet address family you are also referencing. An incompatible protocol has been selected for the socket. The device driver for the protocol stack might not be compatible with Wsock32.dll. Resolution: Check the current configuration for the protocol type in use for the remote connection and check the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) or User Datagram Protocol (UDP) configuration for the Firewall service. Also, if you are using a third-party Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), verify that it is compatible with Wsock32.dll. If you are using Microsoft TCP/IP, remove and reinstall TCP/IP. |
