Description | Host is unreachable. For more information about this event, see ISA Server Help. |
Event Information | According to Microsoft: Cause: The remote host cannot be reached at this time or has been shut down. A socket operation was attempted on an unreachable target host. The ICMP message means that the router cannot forward the IP datagram to the target host, possibly because it did not get a response to the ARP request (which might mean the destination host is down). Resolution: Try to ping the destination host, to see if you get the same results, which is likely. Check the destination address. Check whether you have a router configured in your network system (your WinSock implementation). Use the tracert command at the command prompt to try to determine where the failure occurs along the route between your host and the destination host. You can also contact your network administrator to confirm the status of the remote host. |
