Event Information | According to Microsoft : Cause : This event is logged when only one thread at a time can call the performance data collection function. Resolution : Close other applications collecting performance counters Only one application at a time can collect disk performance counters. Data collection failed because another application was collecting one or more disk counters. If you are viewing real-time data in Windows Reliability and Performance Monitor using Performance Monitor or Resource Monitor, it will interfere with scheduled data collection. Stop Resource Monitor or remove the affected counters from the Performance Monitor view to resolve the error. To stop Resource Monitor:
You can use Windows Reliability and Performance Monitor to verify that netowkr performance counters are properly collected and displayed in a Performance Monitor graph. In addition, you can use the typeperf command to get a list of the available counters on the local system. Membership in the local Administrators group is required to complete these procedures.
