Event Information | According to Microsoft : Cause : This event is logged when DHCPv6 service failed to initialize its configuration parameters. Resolution : Restart the DHCPv6 Server service The DHCP Server service failed to initialize. You'll need to manually restart the service. To perform these procedures, you must be a member of the Administrators group, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. To manually restart the DHCP Server service: 1.At the DHCP server computer, click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK. 2.Double-click DHCP Server. 3.Click Stop, wait for the progress bar to complete, and then click OK. 4.Click Start, wait for the progress bar to complete, and then click OK. 5.On the File menu, click Exit. Verify : To verify that the DHCPv6 service is running: 1.At the DHCPv6 server computer, click Start, click Run, and then type cmd. 2.At the command prompt, type sc queryex dhcp. 3.The DHCPv6 Server service state should be displayed as RUNNING. |
