Event Information | According to Black Berry Support: Cause : A BlackBerry smartphone user has been defined in the BlackBerry Alert Configuration, but has not been provided an SMTP Hostname for the server and other details to configure the BlackBerry Alert Service. Resolution : To configure an SMTP hostname. 1. Open BlackBerry Manager. 2. Under Servers, click on the server that the BlackBerry smartphone user is assigned to 3. Open the Server Configuration tab. 4. Click Edit Properties. 5. Select BES Alert. 6. 6. Add an SMTP hostname to the SMTP Hostname field or remove the BlackBerry smartphone user from the User Notification field. |
