Description | Scan Engine Error. CSAPI DEC result: 0xA. A malformed container is detected |
Event Information | According to Symantec: RESOLUTION To work around this problem, you can either reduce the sensitivity for malformed MIME identification or disable detection of malformed MIME containers. Reduce malformed MIME identification sensitivity To reduce malformed MIME identification sensitivity, create or modify the following DWORD registry value: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Symantec\SMSMSE\5.0\Server\DecMIMEIdentificationStrength The value can be a decimal between 1 and 5. The higher you set the number, the lower the sensitivity, which results in fewer false positives. If the registry value does not exist, create the value. Disable malformed MIME container detection To disable malformed MIME container detection, set the following DWORD registry value to decimal 0. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Symantec\SMSMSE\5.0\Server\BlockMalformedContainers If the registry value does not exist, create the value. |
