Event Information | CAUSE: This problem is caused by the deletion of two McAfee files that contain your account information. This forces the products into a state of expired as there is no account information to reference. The deletion of these files occurs when Microsoft SQL Server (sqlservr.exe) and MPS version 7.x is present on the system. This problem will be fixed through a future MPS version 7.x update. Until that time, please follow this workaround to resolve. RESOLUTION: Download gdlsphlr.dll 1.Download gdlsphlr.zip (7.0.0.33) and save it to your desktop. Disable PrivacyService 7 1.Right-click McAfee SecurityCenter (located by your system clock). 2.Highlight PrivacyService. 3.Click Disable. 4.When prompted, enter in your admin password. Rename and replace gdlsphlr.dll 1.Click Start My Computer C: Windows (for Win2000: WINNT) System32 MCLSPHLR. 2.Right-click GDLSPHLR.DLL and select Rename. 3.Rename it to GDLSPHLR.OLD. Extract GDLSPHLR.DLL from the Zip file 1.Locate GDLSPHLR.zip on your desktop and double-click it. 2.Click Extract. 3.Extract the content to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MCLSPHLR 4.Verify GDLSPHLR.DLL is now located in that directory. 5.Reboot your PC. Unregister Mclsp.dll 1.Click Start Run and type regsvr32 /u mclsp.dll then click OK. Verify the Subscription 1.Double-click McAfee SecurityCenter (located by your system clock). 2.Under My Service Status, all products should say Protecting. 3.If one does not, please click on it to take you to that product tab. 4.Next to the Stop Light will either be Verify or Enable. 5.If you see Verify, please click to verify. Once complete, go to the next product tab and do the same. 6.Go back to the Top Tab (My SecurityCenter). All products should now display as Protecting. 7.Reboot your PC. 8.Right-click McAfee SecurityCenter (located by your system clock) highlight PrivacyService click run to enable. |
