Description | Unexpected Windows 2000 error: operand "PID 1032", operation "EnumModules", error "Invalid access to memory location." Data: Words 0000: 000003e6 |
More Information | CAUSE:
This event occurs because Windows 2000 Datacenter Server uses a feature that is named the Process Control Service to manage the system resources that can be used by a specific process. The Process Control Service frequently (by default, every 60 seconds) sends an EnumProcessModules function to all the processes that are running on the system. The Process Control Service logs Event ID 185 if it receives an ERROR_NOACCESS error when it calls the EnumProcessModules function. RESOLUTION: A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. |
