Event Information Resolution :
To resolve this error, select one of the following options depending on the web server environment.

Option A, if your IIS 6 web server is dedicated to serving the Crystal Enterprise environment.

Option B, if your IIS 6 web server also supports other applications that require the use of the authentication token.

Option A :
  1. In the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, locate your computer name.
  2. Expand the 'Application Pools' folder. Changes are needed in the Default Application Pool.
  3. Review the properties of the 'DefaultAppPool' and navigate to the 'Identity' tab.
  4. Set the 'security account for this application pool' to 'Predefined' and select '"Local System".
  5. Restart the web server for the changes to take affect.
Option B :
  1. In the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, locate your computer name.
  2. Expand the 'Application Pools' folder. A new Application Pool is needed to handle Crystal Enterprise services.
  3. Right-click on the 'Application Pools' folder and select 'New'.
  4. Select 'Application Pool' and name it descriptively, such as "Crystal Enterprise Apps".
  5. Right-click on the newly created Application Pool and review the properties.
  6. Navigate to the 'Identity' tab.
  7. Set the 'security account for this application pool' to 'Predefined' and select "Local System".
  8. Now view the properties of the 'Crystal' Virtual Directory and navigate to the 'Virtual Directory' tab.
  9. In the 'Application Settings' section, click on the '[Create]' button, and accept the application name.
  10. Change the Application Pool to the newly created pool.
  11. Repeat this process for the 'crystalreportviewers10' Virtual Directory.
  12. Restart the web server for the changes to take affect.
