DescriptionA certificate could not be found. Connections that use the L2TP protocol over IPSec require the installation of a machine certificate, also known as a computer certificate. No L2TP calls will be accepted.
Event InformationIn Windows 2000, you can use a certificate server to authenticate Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) virtual private network (VPN) connections. If you have a server that has Routing and Remote Access Services (RRAS) configured and has active L2TP ports, you may receive this error messages in the System event log.If you do not intend to use L2TP-type connections, you can eliminate this error message by following these steps: 
1) Open the Routing and Remote Access snap-in in Microsoft Management Console (MMC) by clicking Start, pointing to Programs, pointing to Administrative Tools, and then clicking Routing and Remote Access.
2) Expand the appropriate server, right-click Ports and then click Properties.
3) Click WAN Miniport (L2TP), and then click Configure.
4) In the Maximum Ports box, click 0 (zero), and then click OK.
5) When you receive a warning dialog box, click Yes. Then, click OK in the Ports Properties dialog box.
6) Close the Routing and Remote Access snap-in.
Event ID 20192 does not occur on subsequent reboots.
