In 2003, go to services, look at all tape and time related services, stop them first, something stopping veritas from updating current setup. if not find there, suggest remove veritas install first, and delete directory, then remove all entries from registry -- veritas setup might be corrupt. May be just corrupt registry entries, hard to fix without uninstall, clean registry, then reinstall. If have identical server with same veritas install, can look through registry and copy missing corrupt entries, take lots time, easier to reinstall. Big warning before you do any of this, check for tape catalogs on hard disk, make sure copy all catalog files to other directory before removing installation, save many hours headache re catalog all tapes again, very big pain ! when veritas reinstalled, you copy back tape catalogs into directory veritas normally use for catalog files. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------. |
