| Event Information | According to Microsoft: Cause: The Microsoft Exchange System Attendant was unable to query Window Management Instrumentation (WMI) for instances of ExchangeLink class. This class is provided by the Exchange provider (exwmi.dll). This event does not necessarily indicate an error condition. It can ocur on an otherwise properly functioning server. This issue may occur when the WMI infrastructure has not been properly installed on this server. However, if you are seeing this event, it does not always mean that there is an error with WMI. If this event repeatedly appears, then it should be investigated. If it happens rarely, it can be safely ignored. User Action : If you are seeing this event very frequently, make sure that the WMI infrastructure is installed correctly. If this issues is seen on either node of a Clustered Exchange Server, then ensure that both nodes have the latest Windows and Exchange Service Packs. |
