Event InformationAccording to Microsoft:
Causes and Solutions:
Incorrect user name or password:
The credentials used were incorrect.Enter a valid user name, password, and domain name. You must have administrative privileges to complete this task.
No permissions:
The access permissions or network privileges have been changed on the remote server.
Web service stopped:
The Web service on both computers must be running. Start the Web service.
Web service improperly configured:
The Web service must be configured properly. Review the authentication settings for the Application Center 2000 Administrative Site by using the Internet Information Services snap-in.The authentication method should be set to Integrated Windows authentication.No other authentication method should be used. Also, Read permissions should be set on the Home Directory property sheet.The path should point to: \Program Files\Microsoft\Application Center 2000\Admin. No other permissions are necessary.
Account changed or missing:
The AC*_ accounts have been changed or deleted.Application Center creates these accounts for performing tasks.If these accounts have been changed or deleted, see your support personnel.
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service problem:
The RPC service has failed or is improperly configured.
The service settings should be:
General - Startup type: Automatic.
Log On - Log on as: Local system account.
Allow service to interact with desktop = No Recovery - Take no action (all occurrences); Reset fail count after [0] days.
Solutions:
1.Restart the local computer.
2.Restart the remote computer.
