Reinstallation of the Feature Release 2 .msi Package Using Installation Manager to Fail.If need to return to Feature Release 1 and have not already attempted to use Citrix Installation Manager to do so, it can manually downgrade to Feature Release 1 using Control Panel > Change > Remove > Downgrade. If push then Mfxp001.msi out to the server using Citrix Installation Manager, this will appear to fail.
The Citrix Management Console reports that the installed .msi package failed, but the process actually succeeded. Investigation indicates the error may be due to installing Feature Release 2.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlCitrix has "Service Pack 2" listed under ICAProductMinorVersion.
The server properties show Feature Release 2.
Citrix Management Console may be reporting incorrect information from the LHC. Rebuild the LHC and verify that the Feature Release 2 update completed. You must restart the server for the upgrade to take effect.Force Reboot After Install.When you check this box, the server automatically restarts after installing the package; however, this action may only log you off. This occurs only on servers where a user is logged on at the console of the MetaFrame server during the installation process. You must manually restart the server for the update/changes to take effect.Verify if restart occurred in the event log. If the server did not restart, shut down and try again.
