Event InformationThis error may caused by corrupted or improper driver, or may be due to a bug in device driver program that you installed for any of the hardware. Check the memory dump file that may usually generated by this event (Windows XP), which will help you to troubleshoot which is the driver causing this error. See MS article given below.
A faulty hardware also may lead to this error. If you installed any new hardware ( modem, network card, video card etc..), check for feature mismatch with motherboard ( some of the features may not supported by BIOS), or call up the hardware manufacturer for additional help.
If you are facing Error code 0000007f. in windows XP, it is suggested to reset the paging file to 0 and restart the machine then reconfigure it.
You can use Verifier.exe for checking driver problem with windows 2000. See MS Article.
Error code 000000d1 This may an error caused by faulty device driver.

CAUSE:
The Stop error occurs when the computer accesses a NULL DeviceObject object in a volume parameter block. This volume parameter block access is caused by a race condition. This race condition occurs when the computer mounts volumes on removable media devices such as CD or DVD drives. This Stop error is more likely to occur in the following types of computers:.
