DescriptionMcAfee GroupShield: Error installing
Event InformationCause:

The McAfee Streaming Update service is a live update service that allows for dynamic downloads and updates of Spam rules from a download server. When started, the service makes a connection to update.nai.com via HTTP. When a connection to this location is broken or cannot be made, Streaming Updates will fail. In these scenarios, failures are usually accompanied by events such as Event 5005 or 5003 recorded in the Windows Event Log.

Resolution :

1.Click Start, Run, type Regedit and click OK.
2.Navigate to the following location: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\McAfee\McAfee Streaming Updates\Config].
3.The Config registry key should be populated with entries such as:
http://update.nai.com/products/antispam/stream/Wjmm_G3vDgs1XbblnmwVnqDIFhsA/update-1.2.ini
4.The value of each DWORD entry is the return code of the last attempted update. For example:

200 = Downloaded new file
304 = Not updated, file is same as last download
400 = Bad Request
404 = Site or file not found

NOTE: The value in the registry key appears in the following format: 0x000000c8 (200). The first figure is in hex notation and the value in brackets is the decimal equivalent. This allows you to determine which update is failing; lines with return codes of 200 and 304 are fine, however lines with return codes of 400 and 404 have failed and are the likely source of the 12031- Internet connection was reset error message.

If you identify return codes of 400 and/or 404, follow these steps:

1.Double-click an entry with a return code of either 400 or 404 and select the entire contents in the Value name: field.
2.Right-click this entry and select Copy, then click Cancel to close the Edit DWORD value dialog box.
3.Right-Click and Paste this entry into the address bar of your web browser and press ENTER.
4.If a file transfers suc
